Summer Heat Summer Colours

Lately I have been mapping my garden for possible botanical print leaves. I have tested most of my plants and have been delighted with the colours that I have found. They are mostly gum leaves but also the roses give some lovely greens. Other leaves I have found to give colour when steamed are geraniums, quince, smoke bush and coreopsis petals.

The leaves I collect are steeped in iron water then placed on the silk material, bundled and steamed for 2 hours.
